Auld Lang Syne! What a memorable day again in LCRC! Events happened so fast and yes… time has swiftly passed by as we are getting near to celebrating a new year for everyone. Goodbye 2009 and hello 2010! In this day, it seemed that all things were in a rushed and it was like we were fighting against time that is quickly running. In the morning, we discussed concerns about the program in the afternoon such as decorations, music, rehearsals, AVP, time capsule, gifts of the residents, etc. For us to make these concerns be accomplished ASAP, delegation of tasks was badly needed. Each practicumer was assigned to a particular task that day. I was assigned to do the AVP of the past events in LCRC and to inflate colorful balloons, other were designated to do the said tasks. In making the movie, it was pretty complicated for me to do it using a notebook computer for I was used to desktop pc. At first, it went okay but as soon as the notebook lagged and restart all over again, it really made me frustrated that I have to wait for a few minutes again to continue working on it. Maybe, it was because of too many pictures installed in this movie. Instead of wasting time, I inflated the balloons and to tell you honestly it was like I have used all my forces to do it. Wooooh! Pressured, uneasy, tired and waiting; I felt that moment it was not meant for me to do the AVP. The notebook I am using started going nuts! I tried so hard to finish it and thank God, it was completely done and yet it was not compatible with the DVD player that is usually used in the hall; therefore, it should be converted to other format. I felt sorry for myself with that AVP but I just thought maybe some other time it will be presented. Maybe it was not the right time for it. Ahhhh… Before the program, we experienced Sir Vito’s bible services and though our attention was focused more on the program, my worries about it were thrown away by those reflections of us that Sir Vito has shared. I feel blessed and enlightened by God’s words yet time has been short. The Year- end culminating activity lasted for only two hours. I felt the happiness and other emotions expressed by the residents. Some wept, others smiled and most of them felt mixed emotions; I am so glad I am with them that day. This day I have realized that every good moment always come to an end but one thing is for sure: Good moments always last forever and it will always be remembered in our mind and in our hearts. Thank God for this day! Smiles.
