Mixed emotions… that would describe my first official practicum day in LCRC. Tired, ill, fun, sad, excited…hmmm. On Thursday morning, we had our bones and muscles stretched together with some of the LCRC residents. We even taught them of some origami such as garlands of lanterns and balls to be used for our Christmas decorations in the session hall. Then, we continued designing and decorating and some sort of creating from recycled materials. It’s fun that we also have other practicumers with us… thanks to Mansuari and Marion from New Era Univ, as well as Maron, and Marian of Manila Central Univ. Unfortunately, I felt very ill that day. I had malaise and sore throat which made me very sick later in the evening. I felt really sorry for myself that I could not even talk with others that much. My classmates as well felt the same; some had colds, toothache, headaches, etc. Ouch! We really are sick. But wait, that did not stop us from finishing the decorations for the session hall. Good job everyone especially to our art master, Mary! Glitters and stars made the hall even brighter for our Christmas party tomorrow! It’s really perfect for our theme: Liwanag ng Pasko. Yihee! I am so excited for our presentation, and of course with the others’ too. Oh, before I forgot… we met Pastor Paul and attended the worship services with the LCRC residents. We sang at the top of our voices and sang praises for Jesus. One way Jesus, You’re the only one that I could live for! Yes! I remembered the chorus. Thank God for this day! Smiles.
