Body pains… ouch! My body was moved really well this Wednesday morning. Before the aerobics by 10:30pm, we played basketball and rode the bicycle that served as our stretching for the exercises. I really enjoyed it! Aerobics made me sweat like a pig that day but it seemed that the LCRC residents were not that sweating hardly compared to me. Jai- ho was the dance instructed to us. The dance steps were easy to follow though it was hard for me to memorize it all. Luckily, I jived to the tune easily and it was joyful to see that everybody seems to have enjoyed dancing. Jai- ho! In the afternoon, we made some crafts to be used as patterns for the residents’ simple gifts for their loved ones. I suggested making a silhouette of a bear and then they have to design it so as to write messages at the back of it. Others suggested bookmarks and doorknob paper crafts. I finished it and I felt a bit of hesitation that they would not choose my work as their patterns for I feel not contented of my work. Then we facilitated the art activity, I felt a bit overwhelmed that almost everybody have used my pattern. I am so pleasured that I even made more patterns for them to use it. Doing arts and crafts was my hobby during pastime, and I am very happy that I got to do it again and to join these wonderful people in doing one of my favorite hobbies. Overall, I observed that everyone participated, exerted every effort and enjoyed it. The residents really made their own designs. I learned that I was not different from them. Why? It is because they were, at first hesitated to do this crafts at first, but in trying it, they got to enjoy it and felt proud of their work. My conclusion for this day: Life means having full of hesitations at first but if we are not trying to gamble the chance of doing new things and knowing how people would respond on it, then, we would not grow and we can not have the chance of being proud of ourselves. There is no harm in trying; life has always been a matter of choice. Thank God for this day! Smiles.
