I think I should describe this day as full of worries, and my thinking seems to be distorted because a lot of things are in my mind. I worry a lot of my requirements in school, quizzes and most especially, I need to hurry up in writing my daily progress report. Ouch… it really hurts my head a lot. Much more that I would like to complete all those stuffs in time (I really hope I could). This day in LCRC, we joined the residents in their art activity called “tracing” lead by Ms. Faye, their art teacher. It was nice to see them design their silhouettes and read their dreams or goals in life written inside it. Their art teacher as well as our practicum supervisor explained how this activity was related to the theme: Living in the Here and Now. The one that marked in me was the line: Yesterday is a history, tomorrow is a mystery but today is a gift that is why it is called the present. Indeed, it is a gift that we really have to treasure and hold on. It is alright to learn from the past and be able to change for a better today. Time flies swiftly and we can never bring back the time that passed. Therefore, we need to make every minute of our lives an extraordinary one for us not to have regrets in the future. Aside from that, I have realized that in their art activity, I noticed that upon they have traced their partners they were not the one who design their partner’s silhouettes. It means that it is only us who could make our future better not with the other way around. Others could help us but it is not they who will make things for us for we are the ones holding our lives. We are the responsible for what we are today and not because of others. Thank God for this day! Thank You for making me realize that today is a gift and I should always be responsible in spending my time wisely. Smiles.
