The time has finally come for us to celebrate one of the most awaited events of the love month! It is this time that all of our efforts will be paid off! Yihee! Claps! Everyone was in a hurry and it appears we are all excited on what’s going to happen. The program was a success, truly enough every effort we exerted were paid off! YESSSSSSSSS! Just like what the residents told us, we have conquered a lot of hardships in this special program and I am very thankful to them for they have shown their appreciation and gratitude towards us. I think it is enough more than everything else. I just wonder why the staff has not prepared a dance or any song presentation because usually they do. I also noticed that some of the staff members were absent and some were not in their costumes. I amazed with the resourcefulness of some staff members, they even got piece of strings, plastic bags, spare fabrics, and even a broomstick. WOW! I also commend the efforts of everybody else in the hall that time who wore their beautiful costumes. It was like I am in a story book where there is an all- star studded fairytale characters in. I LOVE IT!
With regards to the closing activity, I learned that we need each other to fulfill love which is the greatest gift of all. Love is never complete without each piece of the heart. Each piece plays an important role that fills in each space of the heart. So, all we have to do now is love one another; we all need each other to live as one in love. Nevertheless, love is the greatest gift of all that we need to treasure and live up!
But wait there’s more… the event did not stop there; a party was prepared for the staff and practicum students. I think this is the gift we got from the success of the valentine’s program. We ate, we sang, and we enjoyed the whole night. The fairytale characters turned into party people and rocked the night! Yihaaaa! The highlight of the party was the graduation of a nurse and an attendant. CONGRATULATIONS for they finished the volunteer program offered by the management for nurses and attendants! Cheers! It was also the send- off of UE practicum students who shared the success of the valentine’s program with us. Without them, it will very hard for us to attend with the tasks to fulfill the preparations of the valentine’s program.
It was getting late… as late as the Christmas party we attended the last time. A lot of food prepared, and the party was great! Oh… what a day! I wish everyday is a party!
It’s truly true that learning is a continuous process because it always happen everyday. Thank God for this day! Thank God for making me a fairytale character even just for a night! Smiles”,
