It was a stretching day today. We engaged in a lot of exercises and some outdoor activities. It was my first time to really join the residents in their aerobics- did some crunches, push- ups, back raise, leg curls, and a lot of exercises by means of lying on the floor with mats. It is obvious that I am not into weekly exercise because of being busy with a lot of things especially school works.

Few residents attended the outdoor activities unlike last week that almost all of them went outside. Besides, only one resident did play sports, others were just sitting on the bench and they were busy staring at the scrapbooks made by practicum students. In the afternoon, the residents made their personalized wind chimes in which entailed their hidden talents in doing arts and crafts as well as their creativity. They have used colorful beads, small shells, rings, and colorful strings.

Today we learned to be more cautious. We should always remember that we should not leave things unattended. It is our responsibility to clear up things we brought in the hall even just dirt or a trace of those. Hence, it is better to prevent or anticipate erroneous event to happen than to solve it as it actually happened. We became relaxed that we became forgetful of our responsibility. It is good to be relaxed like being cheerful or happy while you are working and not to be relaxed to the point that we neglect the tasks that should be fulfilled. Thanks to our supervisor, he let it passed for this moment only. Learn from mistakes and never let it happen again. We hate sanctions and it is better that it happened just once. Furthermore, we should focus on the positive side of life. Be optimistic and look at the grateful things we receive than with the awful things that happened to us. Never forget that we have more blessings to be thankful for than the worst things that we had. As we enhance our spirituality, let us be grateful always.

It’s truly true that learning is a continuous process because it always happens everyday. Thank God for this day! Thank God for making me realize that I should be optimistic with what I might encounter in my way! Smiles”,
